HISTORY: Gain was born into the life of the rich and famous. An only child to the founders and CEOs of the Taejin Motor Company. At age 5 Gain got her first pet, a horse, complete with its own pasture and stables. At age 6, she began receiving the best education their money could buy, which included attending the most prestigious private schools in Seoul. In an environment where the rich kids weren’t expected to work hard for their grades, Gain took solace in studying and doing just that. Books and cleverness were her thing, as were logic, reasoning and an attention to detail that was annoying even to her own parents.
Age 15 she learned of her parents' "side hustle" when she caught her mother snorting a line of cocaine in the bathroom one evening before going to an event. Soon she was introduced to the works of the business, from the manufacturing process to the main gangs that the family supplied. At 17 she witnessed her father almost overdose on a new blend of the white powder. In fact, she was the one to call 119. He was clean for a few years as his body recovered and has been more careful after that, but the damage was done. Gain wanted to find a way out of this life someday.
College was needed, of course, and Gain embraced the opportunity to live in an apartment of her own for 4 years. To be at least somewhat removed from that life for part of every day. Maybe she could even stretch it into 6 years, if graduate school became an option. Despite her parents’ hopes that she would go into a business major or something beneficial for them, she chose a path into criminology and criminal justice. The direct opposite of what they’d hoped, given their life of defying the law. This was partly their fault, in Gain’s eyes. Had they not supplied her with the best education possible, she wouldn’t have taken a liking to Sir. Arthur Conon Doyle’s stories of Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr. Watson. Sherlock made her believe that her devotion to details would be worthy of something better than building cars and supplying gangs with the cocaine they would in turn sell to addicts and recreational users like her own parents.
Now in her third year at SGU, Gain has proven that she’s got what it takes for this path in life. Though, she may have to work on the dealing with dead bodies part of things down the road. In the meantime, she balances a work study job at the library, working with the main gang her parents supply, and school work with lots of Binge Watching, book reading and the occasional social gathering.

- Might be judging you a little if you use a dangerous drug. Won’t say anything unless she suspects abuse of it.
- Has a love hate relationship with crime shows - they’re so horribly fictitious, but also so entertaining!
- Bookworm - loves murder mysteries, classical literature, historical fiction and YA novels
- Her apartment is a drug-free-zone, except for alcohol, because she likes it and trusts it more than other drugs
- Suffers from Resting Bitch Face. Unless she doesn’t like you, then yes, that is a cold stare you feel.
- Is not a cold bitch 24/7, she does have a sweeter and softer side.
- Blunt could be an understatement. Never rude on purpose with such bluntness, though.
